  • Can I modify or cancel my order?
    We apologize for any inconvenience, but in most cases, it is not possible to make changes to your order. Once an order has been picked, it joins numerous other customer orders in the collection cages, awaiting pickup by our couriers. Logistically, locating and modifying this specific order is extremely challenging. To add products to your order: Simply place a new order for the additional items, or contact us by phone to place the new order. To change or remove products: Please call us to cancel the original order and create a new one. If the order has already been dispatched, you can follow our standard Returns Procedure. To cancel an order, please provide us with as much notice as possible. As long as the order has not been dispatched, we should be able to cancel it and issue a full refund.
  • Can I place an order over the phone?
    Certainly! Our friendly team at the Kendal showroom is available all day to assist customers and take orders. We are more than happy to handle your entire order over the phone, including processing your card payment. Rest assured that our regular internet prices will still apply.     The prices listed on our website do not include VAT. Our primary focus is on serving trade customers who typically engage in discussions and transactions based on figures that exclude VAT.

    Absolutely! We send a wide range of our products to individual customers, and we warmly welcome orders of any size, be it large or small. Our prices are among the lowest in the UK, catering to both trade professionals and the general public.

  • When can I expect my order to arrive?
    Each product you order has an estimated delivery schedule. If your order consists of a mix of products, they will be dispatched together in one shipment. The dispatch date will be determined by the product with the longest delivery schedule. If one of your chosen products has a longer estimated delivery schedule than others, you may consider placing separate orders. If you require urgent delivery, we are more than happy to assist you.   • I need a rush delivery for tomorrow. Can you accommodate this?
    Most likely, yes. If the item is in stock, we can send it via overnight carrier for delivery the next day (*available for UK Mainland only). Alternatively, we can request our manufacturers to dispatch it directly for next-day delivery. In many cases, we can even arrange delivery before 10:30 am or before 12 noon.   • What guarantees or warranties do you offer?
    All our products come with the relevant manufacturer's mechanical guarantee, which varies in length but is typically a minimum of 12 months.
  • Are all your handles sold in pairs?
    All Mortice Door Handles and Door Knobs are sold as pairs (sets). This includes a handle or knob for each side of the door, along with all the necessary fixings such as wood screws, through-bolts, and spindles. Cupboard or Cabinet Handles, on the other hand, are sold individually. They will come with the required number of Threaded Bolts for rear fixing. Hinges are supplied in pairs, complete with screws unless stated otherwise.
  • Do the handles come with a latch or lock mechanism?
    Generally, handles are not supplied with a lock or latch because of the numerous variations involved. You can order locks or latches separately. However, we do offer handle packs that include hinges and a latch (this information can be found on the product page).
  • Which latch or lock should I order?

  • Do your Brass handles tarnish?
    Brass, in its base form, tends to dull and tarnish over time. Therefore, most Brass products undergo a lacquer coating after polishing to maintain their shine without requiring frequent polishing. Our products are carefully chosen for their long-term quality, and under normal use, they provide many years of service. However, please note that the lacquer coating applied to brass products may degrade over time, especially on external fittings. The lifespan of the lacquer is beyond the manufacturer's control, and thus, it cannot be guaranteed. If the lacquer coating has started to break down and you wish to improve the appearance, you can remove the brass fittings and treat them with an acetone thinner to completely eliminate the lacquer (e.g., "Nitramors," applied according to the manufacturer's instructions). Ensure the fitting is completely dry and then apply a metal polish like "Brasso." This process can be repeated whenever necessary, or the fitting can be re-lacquered. Alternatively, there is an alternative brass finish known as Stainless Brass (PVD) that does not employ a traditional lacquered finish. It is resistant to normal tarnishing effects and is particularly suitable for external fittings. These products come with a 25-Year Guarantee on the finish.
  • I found a handle I like locally, but it's not available on your site. Can you supply it?
